Project Manager

Job Description:
The Project Manager’s responsibilities include ensuring the project is executed as planned.  This person is also responsible for sourcing the proper resources for the project.  The role is also required to discover and pursue new partners who can take advantage of the services/products we implement during the project. This person will also handle potential partners’ queries. You will help us meet and surpass expectations and contribute to our organization’s rapid and sustainable growth

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in developing the overall project schedule. Oversee the deployment of each piece of project elements
• Help to develop plan(s) that drive awareness of the project, partner engagement, growth and retention
• Allocate the proper resources to deliver the project
• Plan, develop and deliver online and offline campaigns within the agreed timeline as described in the project plan
• Prepare online/offline content materials
• Conduct market research to identify beneficiaries’ needs and identify ways for further collaboration
• Actively seeking out new partners through cold calling, face-to-face meetings and networking
• Setting up meetings with potential partners and listening to their wishes and concerns
 Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on service delivery
 Handle complaints or objections
 Create frequent progress reviews and reports
 Coordinate and participate on behalf of the organization in exhibition or conference
 Collaborate with team members to achieve better results
 Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share it with internal teams

Requirements
• Tertiary education
• 2-4 years working experience
• Basic computer and coding knowledge a plus
• Fast learner and passion for networking
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations
• Experience with NGOs is a plus

Senior Accounting Officer

Key Responsibilities
• Handle full set of accounts of the company independently
• Responsible for daily accounting operation including cash management
• Manage annual financial reports to ensure that the company complies with statutory requirements
• Prepare monthly financial and management reports
• Review and streamline the daily accounting system and work procedures
• Liaise with auditors, bankers and external related parties
• Assist in budgeting and cash flow forecasts
• Perform ad hoc projects/duties as assigned

Requirements
• Post-secondary (Diploma/Certificate) in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance is a plus
• Familiar with the accounting standards in both HK and PRC, tax and legal knowledge is an advantage
• Professional accounting qualification is a plus
• Knowledge of corporate governance is a plus
• Strong in accounting system Quick Book and MS Office, particularly Word. Excel and Access
• Strong analytical mindset and problem solving skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua

Administration Officer (External Affairs)

Key Responsibilities
In Corp. Communication
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.
• Implement marketing activities by writing, editing, and distributing content on different platforms, including publications, press releases, website ,other relevant social media platforms, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization’s ministries, products and/or services.
• Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
• Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
• Proficiency in design and publishing software.

In Fundraising
• Collaborate with management to develop fundraising campaigns.
• Researching and analysing data to identify and define audiences.
• Conducting fundraising activities.
• Overseeing fundraising campaigns and brand management on social media.
• Organising and distributing financial and statistical information.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Reporting on trends and statistics across all digital media platforms.

In Administration
• Carry out administrative support to Administration Team.
• Attend job related events.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related.
• At least 3 years relevant work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of social media and web analytics.
• Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop) is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written skill in both English and Chinese.

Accounting and Administration Assistant

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Responsibilities:
 • Responsible for daily accounting support such as bank book, bank reconciliation and processing of cheque payment
 • Responsible for the reconciliation of sales receipt, sales invoices records and vendor invoices
 • Perform general accounting duties including data entry

Administration Responsibilities:
 • Responsible for office administrative support and ensuring day-to-day operations are running smoothly
 • Monitor office administrative general duties, such as monthly billing and payment, office equipment and furniture procurement and maintenance, stationery ordering, assets management etc.
 • Administrative support in Customer Relation Management System and the processing of donation receipts
 • Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned
 • Outdoor work is occasionally required

Requirements
 • Minimum 1-2 year working experience
 • Diploma in Accountancy or LCCI Intermediate above
 • Proficient in MS office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing

Senior Software Engineer / Trainer

If you are a software engineer and a STEM teacher but dissatisfied with the current education system, we have an alternative for you.

Job Description
Our ministry looking for engineers who also enjoy training a new generation of developers from under-resourced backgrounds. We want growth-driven engineers who are passionate about societal change and eager to coach motivated students on software projects.
Prospective applicants would possess excellent technical skills, rich software experience, as well as artful in leadership and communication, able to liaise with our business clients and train new students at the same time.

Key Responsibilities
1. Software Development
 • Produce software under an Agile development methodology
 • Develop web and/or mobile applications independently or with other members of the software team
 • Assure software quality and integration

2. Leadership and teamwork
 • Work with business clients to translate business needs into software solutions
 • Drive development within our software team and lead and mentor our freelance software engineers and students

3. Contribute to the knowledge base by documenting development processes, software, training methods, and other areas of our work

Minimum Qualifications
 • 5+ years of experience in web and/or mobile application development
 • Degree in Computer Science (or related fields) or equivalent practical experience
 • Proficient in: (Web) ReactJS; (Mobile) React Native and/or Flutter + Dart
 • Experienced in software integration/VCS (Git), testing, and quality assurance
 • Experienced in building production-ready software

Preferred Qualifications
 • Familiar with any of the technologies in our frontend, backend, and mobile stacks:

 • A plus to have knowledge in e-learning and App Inventor (MIT), Python, and Java.

Teaching Assistant (part-time)

Key Responsibilities
 • Provide in-class support to ICT teachers in schools to implement coding curriculum and coding education software
 • Provide other education and administrative support to ICT teachers
 • Learn the coding curriculum and software (training will be provided)
 • Assist in project coordination and liaison with school teachers
 • Perform duties at different schools and sites and work irregular hours, shifts according to the schedule of class

Requirements
 • Undergraduate studies in Computer Science, STEM or relevant disciplines are preferred. Applicants with strong interest in Computer Science/STEM education or technology education are preferred.
 • Knowledge in design thinking and MIT App Inventor is preferred
 • A plus to have knowledge in basic programming, Google Admin and e-learning
 • Experience and skills in material design and graphic design is preferred
 • Availability of 10-15 hours per week is preferred
 • A long-term commitment for two years is preferred
 • Fluent in written English and Chinese, and fluency in Cantonese is required
 • Positive attitude, responsible, self-motivated, fast-learning, good communication and interpersonal skills

Project Description
The Jockey Club Coding for Community Project aims to develop computational thinking and psychosocial skills in teenagers through coding education and adult-youth partnership. The project is designed for students aged 12 and above, with an ICT curriculum and coding education software that strengthen schools’ STEM curricula to develop computational thinking in students. The project also promotes relational development and community involvement among students and encourages them to solve practical problems within the community creatively through an integrated mentoring scheme. The project is co-directed by the Center for Information Technology in Education of the University of Hong Kong and Youth Global Network.
